Please check your Tessellation Google Page for completion. Many of you have a great start to this page but it appears that most pages still have information to be added or addressed in greater detail.
You should complete the following:
1. Describe/Define tessellation
2. Describe shapes that tessellate and tell why they tessellate
3. Include three images of tessellations found throughout time. Describe the time period represented by the tessellations, where these tessellations were located geographically, and what they are examples of---specific building names, art work titles).
4. Describe and include images and descriptions of three real world examples of tessellations that you locate in your home, school, or community.
5. Describe the mathematics involved with tessellations.
6. Describe symmetry
7. Include information as to how symmetry relates to tessellations.
8. Name and describe the four types of symmetry illustrated by tessellations.
9. Locate 4 examples of tessellations by the type of symmetry represented. Label the tessellation with the type of symmetry it represents.
10. Create four tessellations (one of each type of symmetry) using Microsoft Paint. Include one image of each tessellation you have created and state the type of symmetry represented by each tessellation.
Important note---include URLS for all images located on the Internet.
