The Weeks of October 29-November 1, 2007 and October 22-26, 2007.

Friday November 2, 2007
1. Complete remaining columns of the polygon chart with emphasis on the regular polygon column (diagrams and angle measures)
2. Grade sheets were distributed. Sheets, with parent signature, are to be returned on Monday 11/5.
3. Assignment: page 56-57 (12-22 all)

Thursday November 1, 2007
1. Sponge: Visual Thinking Problem Page 53
2. Review Polygon Chart-number of sides, number of angles, number of diagonals, definitions, equilateral #s, equiangular #s, convenx, concave,
3. Developed the formula for finding the number of degrees of each angles in a regular polygon: (n-2)180/n
4. Assignment: Find the number of degrees of each angle in the following regular polygons: hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, undecagon, and dodecagon (we completed the triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon and n-gon during class)

Wednesday October 31, 2007
1. Sponge--Copy the polygon chart posted on the chalkboard
2. Class activity: We completed all columns of the chart for convex polygons, concave polygons and all colums of the chart for triangles and quadrilaterals.
3. Assignment: Complete all polygon chart columns for the pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, undecagon, dodecagon and n-gon

Tuesday October 30, 2007
1. Sponge-Copy diagrams from the board and identify the right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, pair of vertical angles, linear pair of angles, pair of complementary angles, pair of supplementary angles
2. Review the definitions for right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, pair of vertical angles, linear pair of angles, pair of complementary angles, pair of supplementary angles (pages 49-50)
3. Assignment: Pages 51-53 (1-21, 29-31)

Monday October 29, 2007
1. Quiz--measures of angles using a protractor, bisecting agles, naming angles, determining measures of angles (30 problems=100 points)
2. Assignment: Define the following-right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, pair of vertical angles, linear pair of angles, pair of complementary angles, pair of supplementary angles (pages 49-50)
